Job Description:

Supervisory experience managing and maintaining material handling systems. Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of mechanical equipment & components including drives, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers and other related equipment. Also have strong electrical skills including wiring, AC Power, AC Motors, electrical drawing & schematics, and control panels. Knowledge and experience with the following controls components is highly prized: Servo Drives, PLC, PC Controllers, DC Power Supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photo eyes, etc.). This customer site is located in Salt Lake City, UT.

  The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $40 to $46 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
  
  Tasks and Qualifications:
  
  What You Will Do In This Role:
  
  • Must have the ability to track & measures Key Performance Indicators and Fault Data, evaluate & analyze the data, implement & direct improvement. Ability to create reports and communication materials to best report and demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of material handling equipment to our customer. Must have working experience with MS office products.
  • Identify predictive maintenance repairs that are required to maintain system availability.
  • Assist the Resident Site Maintenance Manager with all the following responsibilities:
  • Ensure identification and proper management of spare parts inventories utilizing Sprocket CMMS.
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe manner and that all personnel under his/her direction practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set forth by Dematic and its Customers.
  • Provide daily, on-site communication with 3PL's warehouse operators and management personnel.
  • Oversee and coordinate building maintenance services, utilizing third party service providers where needed.
  • Ensure a process is in place to handle emergency downs (unscheduled vs. scheduled). This shall include procedures to notify Management, resource call-in plans, problem escalation within Dematic's organization, etc.
  • Maintain an effective, written technical escalation procedure and adhere to it. Additionally, train the personnel and ensure compliance to the Dematic escalation protocol.
  • Support expansions, projects and other changes as required. Any work that is outside of current scope will be reviewed and mutually agreed upon and may require overtime or additional resources to meet the specific tasks.
    
    What We Are Looking For:
    
    • Associates Degree preferred.
    • Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how they support related operations.
    • Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
    • Must have 5 years demonstrated ability in a directly related field and successfully demonstrate Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
    • Typically manages non-exempt administrative or technical employees and/or lower-level exempt employees.
