Job Description:
A company is looking for a Healthcare Claims Specialist who
secures payment of delinquent or high dollar insurance liabilities
for patient accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls regarding account status from patients,
insurance carriers, or member hospitals/health systems
Identify and contact insurance carriers or third parties to
determine reasons for delinquent payments and establish repayment
arrangements
Record collection efforts and manage account transfers as
necessary
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required
At least 2-3 years of experience in collections or medical
insurance functions
Familiarity with third party billing requirements such as Medicare
and Blue Cross
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
at all levels
High level of integrity and dependability with a results-oriented
mindset
